Dear all,

The list now seems to be working, thanks Muki!

We can use it for announcements of interest to the CS&OS CoP members, and of course for invitations to our CoP telcos.

Kind regards,
Uta

A few important updates for your attention.

  1. New mailing list for the CS&OS CoP

We have transferred the CS&OS CoP mailing, now hosted by eu-citizen.science (thanks to Muki!): citscios-cop-csgp@eu-citizen.science

You will have received a welcome email from that mail server with instructions on how you can unsubscribe – but of course we hope that you will remain part of this CoP!

  1. Webinar of interest on 19 September, 12 noon CEST

Join the World Water Quality Alliance as they explore how citizen science can play a pivotal role in elevating water quality and driving progress toward SDG Target 6.3, and to improve water quality. Register here: https://un-org-unep.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_pkfID26JRjOhe53U8tsmXQ

This webinar will launch a policy and technical brief that calls for international policymakers and local communities to collaborate in monitoring and improving water quality through citizen science.

Date: 19 Sep 2024
Time: 12PM CEST, 11AM UTC

  1. Next CoP telco

Our next CS&OS CoP telco will take place on Thursday, 26 September, noon CEST. Among other things, this will be a good opportunity to discuss whether we would like to provide a concerted response to the consultation on draft principles for OS monitoring.

Draft agenda:

  • Welcome & agenda
  • UNESCO  updates (OS Working Groups, OS toolkit)
  • Updates on national implementation with the UNESCO Recommendation on Open Science
  • Meetings/developments (reporting back/upcoming) (all)
  • AOB

Kind regards,

Uta & Jack
